In Loving Memory of Randy Lee Brittain
August 21, 1957 – November 10, 2025
Randy Lee Brittain, 68, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Lamar, Colorado, Randy spent his early years in Las Animas, where he thrived in the rhythms of small-town life. He was active in Scouting, played in the school band, and enjoyed baseball, basketball, and hunting—often alongside cousins who were more like siblings.
In the 10th grade, his family relocated to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Randy graduated from East High School in 1975 and soon embarked on a formative adventure: living and working in San Salvador as a Supervisor and Production Manager at a new manufacturing facility. This international experience became a cornerstone of his career and broadened his view of the world.
After returning to Colorado two years later, Randy met the love of his life, Evelyn “Debbie” Brittain, who introduced him to Seattle—a place whose climate and spirit suited him perfectly. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and quiet strength.
Randy was a gifted musician whose talent spanned many instruments, including tenor saxophone, guitar, bass guitar, banjo, and the upright double bass. One of his favorite songs to play was Ghost Riders in the Sky—its haunting melody and driving rhythm a reflection of his spirit: bold, soulful, and timeless.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Evelyn Debbie Brittain; his son, Joshua Brittain (Carissa); and his cherished grandchildren, Eva and [Name to be added]. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings: Sandra Brittain-Pescion (Marc), Rick Brittain (Kelly), and Vicky Brittain (Kim Garrison); his niece, Marrissa Bice; and his nephew, Sean Bice.
In lieu of a formal service, Randy’s ashes will be lovingly scattered across several beaches he held dear—places where the waves echo his music and the wind carries his memory.
“Smoke me.”
