Rebecca Janes

Rebecca Janes (Polmantier), age 73, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren, on October 3, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Becky was born on September 19, 1952, in Fremont, Nebraska, to Jack and Marguerite Polmantier. She was the youngest daughter, with three older siblings. Becky graduated from Hastings High School in 1970 and married Dennis Janes on December 9, 1972. Becky and Dennis lived in Aberdeen, SD, and Hastings, NE, before moving their family to Phoenix, AZ, in 1981. Becky brought warmth and joy to every life she touched.

Becky was the beloved wife of Dennis Janes, with whom she shared a deep and steadfast love. To Becky, Dennis was more than a partner—he was her home and her safe place. Their bond was strong, loving, and enduring.

She was a loving mother to her daughters, Maggie and Molly. Her love for them was unwavering and evident in every moment they shared. In recent months, Becky found great comfort and happiness watching her favorite shows with Molly—simple moments that became treasured memories.

Most of all, Becky loved being a Mamaw. It was her favoirte role in life that brought her endless joy. Her grandchildren—Keegan Linneer, Jack Linneer, Piper Jane Linneer, and Rusty Miller—were the light of her life. She often said that the years when they were young were the best years of her life. Her presence in their lives was strong and loving; she offered laughter, guidance, and unconditional support that will be remembered always.

Becky’s spirit was vibrant and unforgettable. She had a big, infectious smile that could brighten any room. Feisty and full of laughter, she brought joy wherever she went. She cherished her forever friends, who filled her life with laughter and memorable moments. Whether sharing stories or simply enjoying time with loved ones, Becky made every moment count.

One of her happiest places was the beach in Mexico—a place where she felt most at peace and most herself. The sun on her face and the sound of waves nearby brought out the joy that lived within her heart.

A woman of Christian faith, Becky carried love and compassion into all corners of her life. Her legacy lives on through the family who adored her and the countless memories they now hold dear.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jackson Polmantier; mother, Marguerite Polmantier; and sister, Cindy Sara Polmantier.
