Renee Moore, 59, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 1, 2025, after a courageous life-long battle with cancer.

Renee’s kind heart, generosity and brave warrior spirit inspired all who were blessed to have known her.

Born in Jersey City, she grew up in Toms River, New Jersey before moving to Scituate, Massachusetts in 2002. Beautiful inside and out, Renee was the heart and soul of her wonderful, blended family including daughter Keira, 22, husband Mark Dowling and his children Halle, 25; Sean, 23; and Danny, 20.

Renee was also a beloved daughter of Frank and Pauline McGurrin of Manchester Township, NJ; sister to Robyn Young and brother-in-law Bill Young of Point Pleasant, NJ; sister Kathleen McGurrin and brother-in-law Mike Knarre of Ocean, NJ; and sister Danielle McGurrin of Portland, Oregon.

She adored her large extended family of many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and too many friends to count.

Renee graduated from Toms River High School North and East Stroudsburg University. She had a long and accomplished career in Medical Sales with GSK, Takada and Biogen where she garnered numerous awards.

Renee’s life-long passion was teaching fitness for over 35 years, often out-working students half her age. She had a dedicated following throughout the South Shore Community where she had many supporters and lifelong friends.

Visiting hours will be held from 3:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Richardson-Gaffney Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate, Massachusetts. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Saint Mary’s of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate, Massachusetts.
