Richard Eugene Mackey

Richard Eugene Mackey, aged 78, passed away on September 25, 2025, in Dallas, TX. Born on October 15, 1946, Rick was known for his words of wisdom, witty sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Joan Marie Mackey; daughters, Christin Anne Mackey, Krisha Nan Torvi, and Lisa Jeanette Dobson; and grandchildren, Milo Thurman Christopher, Haley Rae Torvi, Jeanie Ruth Torvi, Christopher Jakob Dobson, Ashley Brooke Dobson, Benjamin Hunter Dobson, and Richard Chase Mackey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Wilfred Mackey and Lois Evelyn Gamber Mackey.
Throughout his life, Rick cherished spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, playing golf, and in most recent years enjoying “porch time” with his family and dear friends. His presence in the lives of those he loved was a source of joy and comfort.
Rick’s memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by those who knew him best.
