Rita Margaret Dotts (Little), age 62, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side in Daytona Beach, Florida, on October 16, 2025.
Born on October 18, 1962, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Rita was the spirited daughter of Minnie T. (Lidwell) Little and Harry Dercotch. From 1980 to 1984, she served in the United States Army, with assignments at Fort Hood, South Korea, and Fort Bliss. Her military service was a source of lasting pride and helped shape her enduring strength and resilience.
Rita shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Michael Dotts. Together they embraced life's adventures—traveling often and finding serenity by the ocean. She found joy in riding her Harley-Davidson Sportster through the mountains of Pennsylvania, gardening, dancing, and listening to the sound of wind chimes.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Naomi Rockwell (Joshua Canaday); son Joel Rockwell (Trista Warburton); and grandson Trevor Rockwell. She is also remembered by her brother Danny (Wanda) Little; sisters Denise Little, Paulette (Rick) Eckenrode, Gail Crissman, Maria (Larry) Campbell, and Claudia Anderson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lasting friends.
Rita was preceded in death by her mother Minnie T. (Lidwell) Little; father Harry Dercotch; and sister Deb (Little) Imler.
Rita's life was marked by love—for family, for country, and for the party. May her memory bring smiles and strength to all who knew her. "Here is a cold one for the road."
Family and friends will hold a Celebration of Life in Sinnamahoning, Pennsylvania summer of 2026.
