Robert Kemond Foster, Jr. was born on May 26, 1996, in Chicago, Illinois, to Angel Charles and Robert Lee Foster. As a young child, Robert dedicated his life to Christ and was baptized at Great of Harvest Missionary Baptist Church in Illinois. He resided in Indianapolis, Indiana. His life came to an unexpected end at the age of 29 on October 20, 2025, in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Robert had an interesting upbringing, yet he always managed to put his best foot forward. He was the oldest sibling to Symoane Williams, Jakiyah Humphrey, Aliyah Foster, Armani Foster,
Christopher Louis Jr., and Amiyah Louis. Robert was an astonishing role model and leader to his siblings. As the firstborn to both parents, Robert often paved the way since he was figuring out his own way of life. Transitioning cities during elementary school was not easy, but with guidance from strong men in his life/ community, he grew into a well-rounded young man. Those influential figures included Mr. Walter Ball, Mr. Anthony Cherry, Mr. Alan Gaines, Joseph Humphrey, and Robert Lee Foster. These men mentored, educated, and guided Robert from the age of 11 until his passing. Robert graduated from 21st Century Charter School in Gary, Indiana, in May 2014. He then began his studies at Ivy Tech Indianapolis, demonstrating ambition and perseverance. During this time, he met his girlfriend, Kalonishay Swift, and together they built a loving relationship
filled with adventures, shopping trips, and shared dreams. In May 2016, Robert proudly earned his first college degree—becoming the first in his family to
do so. Shortly thereafter, he embraced adulthood, purchasing his first car and apartment, and welcoming his beloved fur baby, Furrari, whom he affectionately called his “son.” Robert’s drive for self-improvement led him to further his education at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in May 2023. Shortly after, he joined Eli Lilly and Company as a Senior Operator. He was determined to continue growing and leading by example. Robert will forever be remembered by his mother Angel Charles, his siblings Jakiyah Humphrey, Christopher Louis Jr., and Amiyah Louis, his grandmother Geraldine Armstrong, aunts Eneke Charles and Celina Lane, uncles Richard Barge, Robert Lane, and Donald Barge, cousins, lifelong friends, and many more. Robert’s journey reminds us to live in the moment and love those who love you. He was reunited in Heaven with his father Robert Lee Foster, his son,” Furrari, his younger brother ChrisAngel Charles, his grandmother Angeline Charles, great-grandmother Bertha Bowles, and great uncles, Carl Lee Foster and Henry Lee Anderson.
