Robert Lazzaro, age 93, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on November 5, 1931, to Alfred and Rose Lazzaro.
Bob attended South Philadelphia High School and went on to graduate from Villanova University with a degree in business. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to a successful career owning women’s boutique clothing stores. This path eventually brought him and his family to Moorestown, New Jersey, where they happily raised two daughters, shared countless memories with their four grandchildren, and formed lifelong friendships.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Yolanda (née Calfapietra); his daughters, Jeanne Bersani (husband Robert) of Haddonfield, NJ, and Linda Kapostas (husband Stephen) of Moorestown, NJ; his cherished grandchildren, Stephen, Julia, Sarah, and Katie; and his dear sister, Doris Lazzaro of Philadelphia, PA.
Bob and Londie were passionate tennis players throughout their lives. Their enthusiasm for the sport led them to begin wintering in Fort Myers, Florida, in 1995. They quickly fell in love with The Landings Golf and Tennis Community, with its warm and welcoming people and Florida sunshine. Summers were spent at the Jersey Shore, where Bob’s fondest memories were made: crabbing, sailing, swimming, playing tennis, and enjoying time by the beach with his family.
Bob will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, doting PopPop, caring brother, and loyal friend to many.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 7th, at 10:30 am at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 12171 Iona Road, Fort Myers, Florida 33908. Interment in the Memorial Garden will be private, at the family’s request.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bob’s memory to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908, in gratitude for the comforting, compassionate care he received.
