Roberta "Sue" Wiese, 67, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Portland, Oregon. Born on June 17, 1958, in La Grande, Oregon, Sue lived a life filled with warmth, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the world around her.

Sue was the beloved wife of David Wiese, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to Sarah Jones and welcomed her son-in-law Gabriel Jones into the family with open arms. Her love and pride extended to her grandchildren—Jeremy Chott, Tim Jones, Alex Brod, and Carly Chott—each of whom held a special place in her heart. Sue enjoyed her time with her two great-grandchildren and has two more on the way in the coming months.

She was the daughter of the late John David Carlgren and maintained close relationships with her siblings throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Mary Duncan and Sharla Hylton, her brother John Carlgren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Becky Askew.

Sue had a lifelong affection for animals and found great joy in their companionship. Her gentle spirit and compassion extended to all living creatures. As a dedicated Seattle Seahawks fan, nothing could stop Sue from cheering for her team. She also had a passion for travel and delighted in discovering new places such as Mount Rushmore. She enjoyed camping with Dave in central and eastern Oregon, and Disney trips always brought great joy. Whether immersed in a good book on her deck or enjoying the soothing rhythm of a train ride through scenic landscapes, Sue embraced life's simple pleasures with gratitude.

In honor of Sue's enduring love for animals, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Oregon Humane Society in her memory. At her request, there will be no service.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
