Kings Park, New York---Ruth Ann (Stutzbach) Knoeller, 88, formally of East Northport, New York passed away peacefully Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the St. Johnland Nursing Center in Kings Park, New York surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 13, 1937, in Brooklyn, she was the youngest of three daughters of Charles H. and Mildred M. (Weber) Stutzbach.

Ruth Ann graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood, Queens in 1955 where her favorite memory was being the Head Majorette of the Fife and Drum Corp among her many accomplishments – math not being one of them - ;>). Her yearbook described her as “A helping hand, ready to lend, Pretty, sweet, everyone’s friend” which is likely how she would be described by anyone and everyone who met her throughout her life.

On June 6, 1959, Ruth Ann married Arthur J. Knoeller and reveled in her true calling of motherhood with the birth of her children. She loved to sew and cook and bake themed birthday cakes and was known for her candy apples for the neighborhood kids at Halloween and loved all aspects of entertaining but especially throwing backyard pool parties for any occasion. She adored every aspect of being a devoted and caring mother and eventual grandmother.

Ruth Ann was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Northport, NY where she performed in their variety shows, sang alto in the choir, was asked to sing at weddings, served as a Eucharistic Minister, served on the Vestry in various positions and volunteered in any capacity she was asked. She was most memorable for running many of the social events at Trinity including the Couples Club, the decade of New Years Eve parties, the Cow Harbor Day booth and the annual Trinity Fair to name but a few. She had the honor of receiving the Trinity Cross in 2008 for her many contributions to her church.

Ruth Ann began her career as a real estate agent with Carl Burr Realty in 1979 and continued through multiple business name changes ultimately ending her career with Prudential Douglas Elliman in late 2012 only after she suffered a stroke. She loved working in real estate as it gave her the opportunity to constantly meet new people and make their dreams of home ownership come true. She was trusted, loyal, compassionate and reliable having many of her clients and their family members come back as repeat customers.

Ruth Ann was predeceased by her father Charles H. Stutzbach; her mother, Mildred M. Stutzbach; her sister, Mildred C. Seyffarth (Edwin); her sister, Edith A. Naylor (William Clauss; William Naylor); her husband Arthur J. Knoeller and her nephews, James Seyffarth and Edwin Seyffarth.

Survivors include her beloved children, Thomas J. Knoeller (Antonella) of Mt. Sinai, NY, and Linda K. O’Brien (Glenn) Upper Saddle River, NJ; her beloved grandchildren, Lyndsay Sica (Troy), Kristina Knoeller, Chase O’Brien, William O’Brien, Isabella Martinis, and Luca Martinis; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many dear friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend her memorial service on November 22 at 11:30am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main St. Northport, NY 11768.

Interment will immediately follow at the Trinity Columbarium at Trinity Episcopal Church.

The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following in the church hall.
