Ruth Ann Silverman

Ruth Ann Silverman (Rozel), age 88, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, in Rancho Mirage, California surrounded by her husband and children.

Born on January 8, 1937, in Louisville, Kentucky, Ruth was the daughter of Anna and Sam Rozel. She grew up in Louisville alongside her brothers Richard and Sam Rozel. Ruth pursued higher education at the University of Louisville, where she earned her teaching degree—laying the foundation for a life dedicated to nurturing others.

Ruth married Stanley Silverman on September 11, 1960, with whom she shared a long and loving partnership. Together they raised three children: Sherry, Scott, and Andy. Ruth's devotion to her family was unwavering; she was a wonderful mother and grandmother who found immense joy in spending time with her three children and six grandchildren—Stephen, Brian, Josh, Rachel, Katie, and Emma.

A woman of deep kindness and warmth, Ruth touched the lives of those around her with her gentle spirit. She had a passion for golf and playing cards—activities that brought her both joy and camaraderie throughout the years.

She is remembered with love by her husband Stanley; her children Sherry, Scott, and Andy; and her grandchildren Stephen, Brian, Josh, Rachel, Katie, and Emma. She was preceded in death by her parents Anna and Sam Rozel and her brothers Richard and Sam Rozel.
