Ruthanne Webb Wing

Ruth Anne Webb Wing (79) passed away on September 20, 2025, in northern California, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was lovingly cared for by her daughter Aaris and partner Russ Dooley, in their home, while receiving hospice care. Ruth Anne was a bright light, friend and mentor to many, and an active member of the Baha'i Faith for over 50 years. Ruthanne will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her!
Ruth Anne was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in St Augustine, Florida. She was a Florida-certified teacher, social worker and Substance Abuse Counsellor. She spent her working years serving Polk County as a teacher and counsellor while living in Lakeland, FLA. There she met and married John H Wing Sr, to whom she was married for 25 years, and by whom she has a surviving daughter, Julie Wing-Webb, of Sebastopol, California, and two beloved grandchildren, Aaro and Fergie.

Ruth Anne is survived by her siblings, Bob and Debora Webb of Arizona and their children and grandchildren, Tom and Sharon Webb of Georgia, their children and grandchildren, John and Sandra Webb of Virginia and their children and grandchildren, and David and Caroline Webb of South Africa and their children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved friend Bill Peed of Lakeland, Florida. who made her last two years joyful and fulfilling. She was blessed by her dear friends who walked closely with her through her final illness, Ed and Chris Bauman, Trisha Allen, Subhana Bonner, and Nader Ashchi.
