Sabrina Brashears passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 44, at Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho. She was born on April 8, 1981, in Wheeler, Texas, to Paul “Adler” and Chandra Brashears.
From the moment she entered the world, Sabrina was a beautiful girl with captivating blue eyes and a mischievous smile. She spent her early years in Shamrock, Texas, where she loved playing outdoors—catching salamanders for fishing, riding horses, caring for cows, and tending to her show pigs. Family and friends were always close by, and gatherings at the Brashears family home were filled with laughter, holidays, weekend get-togethers, and unforgettable fish fries—memories all well-documented in cherished photographs.
In 1993, Sabrina moved to Idaho with her mother and brother. A striking young woman, she dreamed of following in her mother’s footsteps as a model. She earned her GED in 2000 and later attended school for dental hygiene. However, Sabrina’s true passion blossomed in her love for plants, flowers, and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her grandmother, Neomia, planting vegetables and creating beautiful flowerbeds and arrangements for her mother, Chandra.
In 2015, Sabrina began working alongside her love, Reggie States, at Reggie’s Veggies. She took great pride in her work—designing colorful fruit and vegetable displays and, most of all, connecting with her customers. Always generous, she loved sharing samples of fruits, jellies, and homemade treats.
Sabrina’s bright spirit, humor, and warmth made her beloved by all who knew her. She was an animal lover who adored spoiling her cat, Pocket, and her dog, Cypress. A creative cook, Sabrina rarely followed recipes but always prepared delicious meals for her family and friends. She lived—and cooked—with heart and imagination.
Sabrina is survived by her grandmother, Neomia Bates; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Michelle Brashears; aunts and uncles, Cleta and Keith Bower, Charlotte Baker, and Kevin Cook; nieces, Ellea and Kayla Brashears; her love, Reggie States; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Chandra Kay Cook; grandfather, Cleatis Cook; and step-grandfather, Stanley Bates. Her father, Paul “Adler” Brashears, sadly passed away just five days after her.
Sabrina was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be profoundly missed. May those who grieve her loss find comfort in knowing she rests in peace with her parents and her Savior, Jesus Christ. Rest in peace, beautiful girl. We will see you when we get where we are going.
A celebration of Sabrina’s life will be held on November 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Nature Company Landscape and Greenhouse in Boise, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sabrina’s honor to the Idaho Humane Society or the Idaho Food Bank.
