Samir "Sam" Taha, 78, passed away on November 11, 2025, in Andover, Kansas. Born on July 1, 1947, in Tripoli, Lebanon, Samir lived a life marked by resilience, generosity, and a deep devotion to family and community.
In the 1970s, Samir established a successful import and export retail store, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and global perspective. His love of music inspired him to open a record store in the 1980s, blending business with passion. During the 1990s, he transitioned into the automotive industry, where he held management roles at major dealerships before owning his own. His leadership and dedication earned him respect across the industry until his retirement.
Samir’s greatest joy came from his family. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Samar Edenfield (Jake) and Sabeena Taha (Jason Post), and son Ernesto Palma. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Tayten Edenfield, Lucille Edenfield, Mason Holcomb, Jaxon Post, and Adelaide Post. He also leaves behind his brother Saad Taha; nieces Ameena Taha, Adria Taha-Resnick (Jeremy), Angela Taha-Naef (Tom), Jennifer West (Kevin), Alya Allen (Zack), Mystica Taha; nephew Alexander Herberger; nine great-nieces and nephews; and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins around the world.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Linda Francisco-Taha; parents Ahmad Taha El-Jundi and Ammoun Ismael El-Jundi; brothers Saeed El-Jundi, Mustafa El-Jundi, Nouredeen Taha, Walid Taha; sisters Najah El-Jundi, Fatma El-Jundi, Hind El-Jundi; and niece Abby Herberger.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 19, 2025, 2 pm - 5 PM at Terradyne Country Club, 1400 Terradyne St., Service at 2 PM with a reception immediately following to visit with the family.
