Samuel S. Solomon
November 26, 1932 - September 23, 2025
Born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Israel, he returned to the U.S. to pursue the American Dream. He cherished both countries deeply—grateful for his roots and for the opportunities he was afforded, even without the benefit of a formal advanced education.
A devoted father and grandfather, he is survived by his children, Cynthia (Marc) and David (Jennifer), and grandchildren Jacob, Julia, Julien, and Kali.
Also, survived by his sister-in-law Sally Solomon, and many nieces, one nephew, and their respective families. He is predeceased by his parents, Sarah Hahamoff Solomon and Meyer Solomon, brothers Sam (Shlomo) Solomon and his wife Judy Solomon, Robert Solomon, as well as sisters Tikva, Zahva, and Shoshana, and his niece Sonia. He was predeceased by his ex-wives, Karri Mayer - Cynthia's mother - and Marilyn "Mystica" Andreoli - David's mother - as well as by his last partner, Linda Boegner. He was often surrounded by many friends and family with whom he spent countless Thursday nights at a favorite dining spot and Sundays playing tennis and lunching.
He spent decades as a hardworking traveling salesman for medical uniform companies before founding his own company, Dove Uniforms, in the 1980s, where he designed and manufactured uniforms. He found great fulfillment investing in commercial real estate. And as a lifelong traveler, he found joy in many places, particularly the shores of Hawaii, the lights and charm of Paris, and, of course, the energy and bustle of Eretz Israel. His boundless and vibrant spirit and enthusiasm will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
