Scott Nilson Jr

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Scott Nilson Jr., who died in his home on July 14, 2025 at the age of 78.
Scott was born February 12, 1947.

He served in the military. His naval career included servicing airplanes and he also flew off aircraft carriers. After his military career, he worked and retired from the East Bay municipal utility district.

Scott had a lifelong passion for traveling. He loved being around people and traveling to new places. He was a sports fanatic and loved collecting memorabilia. The Dallas Cowboys and Oakland As were either on the radio or TV! He frequently wore Dallas Cowboys hats, shirts, and/or Navy Hat and was proud of his service and football team.

He also had a passion for cars, particularly corvettes. He had a great group of friends who met for breakfast weekly, discussing life and Corvettes. He loved his parents and spoke of them often.

Scott was a good person and provided ease and comfort to anyone he encountered. His ability to strike up conversations with strangers, acquaintances, and people alike, only demonstrated what an open, kind person he was in his life. He is missed very much by his friends and family.

Please consider honoring him by donating to the naval services. He also loved sending Girl Scout cookies every year to the military. The world was a better place with Scott in it and he will be missed dearly.
