Scott Douglas Short age 71 of Milford Delaware, passed away peacefully November 6, 2025, at Bayhealth Sussex Campus surrounded by family.
Scott was a graduate of Milford High School in 1972.
Scott loved any kind of party, listening to the Beatles, BBQ's and spending time with family and friends. His sense of humor and cranky personality were some of his best traits. Scott was truly ONE of a kind.
Scott is survived by his loving daughter Lauren David; His brothers, Stephen Short (Dianne), Stuart Short (Allyson) of Kents Store VA, His sisters, Susan Chambers of Milton DE, Sheree Furr (Danny) of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Stacey Barcola (Anthony) of Lincoln University, PA. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Herman J. Short, mother Patricia A. Gregg and partner Eileen David.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses on the 2nd floor (critical care) Bayhealth Sussex Campus for their care and kindness during his hospital stay.
Services will be private. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware Hospice in Milford.
