Sean Michael Philbrick

Sean Michael Philbrick passed away, with his sister by his side, on November 2, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, following a brief illness. He was born in Bangor, Maine, on May 5, 1972, the son of Carl Alvah Philbrick and Joyce Ann Marquis.
Sean grew up in Bangor and attended local schools. He spent many years working in the construction industry before retiring to focus on his health. Sean's strong work ethic and natural skill with his hands were well known and he took pride in his work and was always willing to lend a hand to friends and family.
Sean loved the outdoors and found peace in nature. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his beloved dog Zeus, his friends and his family. Those who knew him will remember his quiet humor, loyalty, and kind heart. He was a great listener and loved hanging out and reminiscing about the old days. Hunting and fishing stories were always plentiful and so were the laughs.
He is survived by his siblings: Todd and his wife Jennifer, and their children Danner and Brynn of Auburn, WA; Scott and his wife Suzan, and Scott's son Mason of Clifton, ME; Torri Whitcomb and her partner Jeff Veillette of Bucksport, ME; Carl Philbrick of Orono and his daughter Jennifer Otis and her family of Greenbush, ME. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews along with his "brothers from another mother", Jon, Chris and in years past, Jason, who will all miss him dearly.
Sean was predeceased by his parents and cousins James Sinclair and Joseph Diecidue and his dog Zeus.
