Sean Slattery, 33, of Manchester, CT, passed away unexpectedly on October 6th, 2025.
Born on April 29, 1992, Sean was a brilliant, compassionate soul whose presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Sean was known for his sharp intellect, dry wit, and unwavering integrity. A graduate of Boston University, he built a career in biomedical research—driven by a deep curiosity and a desire to improve lives through science. A lifelong learner, he valued education not just as a path to knowledge, but as a way to understand and uplift others.

He was the kind of person who showed up quietly but powerfully—offering support, insight, and humor when it was needed most. His love for his family was deep and enduring, expressed not through grand gestures but through thoughtful conversations, acts of service, and fierce loyalty.

Sean is survived by his mother, Eileen Wilfore; his stepfather, Michael Wilfore; his twin sister, Shannon Slattery and her fiancé, Samantha Hadley; his stepbrother, Brandon Wilfore; and his stepsister, Amanda Wilfore. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Christine and Mark Olander; his cousins, Ryan and Jenna Olander; and was predeceased by his half-brother, Corey Roy.

A gathering to honor Sean's life will be held on November 15th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rockville Elks Club,
9 N. Park St., Vernon, CT 06066.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the SAFE Project, in honor of Sean's commitment to mental health, inclusion, and compassionate living.
