Sharon Lyons
1956 – 2025
Sharon Lyons (nee Conklin), 69, of Rancho Cordova, California, passed away on October 21, 2025. Sharon bravely battled renal cancer with determination and resolve at the end of her life, showing tireless devotion to her family throughout.
Sharon was born and raised in Ossining, New York. It was there she met the love of her life, Chris, who would become her husband and partner for 46 years. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, good food, and love.
Sharon was an excellent cook, known especially for her Italian dishes that brought everyone to the table — and often back for seconds. She was a gracious, thoughtful host and the holidays were her absolute favorite time of year, when her home was alive with music and the smells of her famous recipes. A proud and loyal New York Yankees super fan, Sharon rarely missed a game.
More than anything, Sharon was happiest when surrounded by her family and beloved dachshunds and will be remembered as a loving and devoted matriarch filled with kindness, warmth, and generosity. She was a master of celebrating others, always remembering birthdays, and had an uncanny ability to find the perfect gift for someone. Above all, she adored and spoiled her grandchildren, Charlie and Milo, along with many honorary grandchildren who were lucky enough to be loved by their Monna.
She is survived by her husband, Chris; her children, Christopher (Paul) and Erin (Nick); and her cherished grandchildren, Charlie and Milo. She is preceded in death by her father Thomas, mother Ann, and brothers Tommy Jr. and Gary. Her love will live on in all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharon’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Most importantly, in her honor, please share a good meal and hug your loved ones a little tighter — just as she would have wanted.
