Sharon Catherine O'Neil, age 88, of Navarre, FL passed away on October 10, 2025. She was born on July 2, 1937 in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence Wolf and sister to the late Paul Wolf. Her sense of humor, adventurous spirit, and strong faith will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Sharon graduated from Alvernia Catholic High School where she excelled in both academics and athletics. She earned her Teaching Degree from the University of Illinois. Her most memorable teaching experience was when she spent a year teaching in Glasgow, Scotland with her daughter Colleen in tow. She went on to receive her Master's Degree in Education and taught for another 16 years.

She felt it was time for a change and went back to school to pursue her law degree. She was a practicing lawyer for over 26 years and most were spent at her law office on Third Street in Geneva, IL where her clients often became friends and those who worked in the office became her second family. After her retirement, Sharon and her beloved husband Paul moved from St. Charles, IL to Navarre, FL.

Faith was very important to Sharon and after being a longtime member of St. John Neumann Church in St. Charles, IL both she and Paul found their new church home at St. Sylvester Catholic Church. Sharon was actively involved in both the church and her community. She was a member of the Columbiettes, the Red Hats, Bunko Babes and the Emerald Coast Women's Club to name just a few.
She loved hosting parties at her home and every event was full of wonderful food, drinks, themed decorations and games. Her fondest memories were with her large extended Chicago family.

Life was an adventure to her and she loved to travel all over the world. She always made new friends wherever she would go. She was a Cubs fan and enjoyed attending games throughout her lifetime. We are comforted knowing that she is reunited in heaven with her husband, Paul and her daughter, Pam.

Sharon is survived by: Colleen (Brian) O'Neil; Shawn Elise (Jeffrey) Hansen, Chris (Tammy) O'Neil, Grandchildren: Chase, Ashley, Kyle, Rebecca and Paula. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Pam; husband, Paul; brother, Paul and her parents. Sharon is also survived by many treasured cousins. A special thanks to her dear friend Judy and all of the friends and amazing caregivers that supported her over the years. Your kindness, patience and care will never be forgotten.

The funeral mass will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at St. Sylvester Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. The mass will be livestreamed through the church for those who cannot be in attendance at https://www.stsylv.org/ Burial will take place in private at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva, IL at a later date.
