Sharon Ann Smith

1947 - 2025

Sharon Ann (Des Combes) Smith, 78, beloved mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Fort Worth, Texas on October 2, 2025. Sharon was born in Springfield, Ohio on September 23, 1947.
Sharon graduated from Greenon High School in 1965. She studied dress design in Chicago and worked creating bridalwear and gowns. She returned to Ohio, where she graduated from Wright State University of Dayton with a degree in business in 1981. Her college education led her into a career as a payroll specialist with Associates Corporation in Dallas, Texas where she served as Assistant Vice President for Payroll Systems Interface. She was awarded the Outstanding Payroll Professional by the Dallas chapter in 1990.
She will be remembered for her love of sewing, quilting, crafts and dress design. Her homemade, handcrafted gifts brought joy to many people. She was always willing to do anything for anybody, giving 100% to help others, even if it meant traveling across the country or staying up all night to get a project done or alter a hemline.
She is survived by her son, Todd Smith and daughter-in-law, Ti Smith, and grandchildren Andrew (Denson), Anna (Denson), Abby, and Adam; brother, Lloyd “Sonny” (Thelma) Des Combes; sister, Barbara Sue “Susie” (Steve) Demmy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Maxine (Anderson) Des Combes, and her brother Richard Des Combes.
