Sheri Lynn McDonnell, age 58, of Clarkston, Michigan, passed away at her home on October 1, 2025.
Sheri was born on September 21, 1967, in Southfield, Michigan, to John W. Taylor and Noreen G. Taylor (Deceased). She grew up with a love for creativity and the arts, earning a bachelor's degree in art history. She worked with Chase Bank and later dedicated time to the Waterford Township Library, where she combined her talents with her passion for learning and service.
Sheri's life was filled with bold color and artistic inspiration. She completed a charitable internship at the Detroit Institute of Arts, focusing on Japanese curation and exhibition, and she volunteered with Pink and Pampered, a breast cancer awareness organization. She was happiest in the places that spoke to her soul—Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, and around a warm bonfire surrounded by those she loved.
She will be remembered for her eclectic and quirky personality, her fearless honesty, and the way she delivered her thoughts with wit, sarcasm, and humor. Sheri never held anything back, and those who knew her cherished her authenticity.
Sheri is survived by her father, John W. Taylor, and his wife, Vicki S. Taylor; her sons, Brennan D. McDonnell and Cale R. McDonnell; her brother, John A. Taylor; her niece, Victoria-Lynn P. Taylor; and her lifelong friend, Bridget McHugh.
Sheri's spirit, creativity, and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
