Mrs. Sheryl Ann Faust (née Fricke), of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, in Minneapolis at the age of 69.
Born on September 11, 1956, in Minneapolis, Sheryl spent her life rooted in the community she loved. She was a kind, hardworking woman with a generous heart and a gentle spirit. Her unwavering compassion and selflessness were evident in every aspect of her life—she gave endlessly to those around her, always placing the needs of others before her own.
Sheryl was a devoted wife to her late husband, Fred Faust, and a loving mother to her son, Bryan Faust. Her family was the center of her world, and she nurtured those bonds with deep affection and care. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings: sisters Martha Wiebold and Sue Granda, and brother Bill Fricke. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton Fricke and Mary "Marge" Fricke.
A woman of many passions, Sheryl found joy in the simple things—crocheting, reading, and spending quiet moments surrounded by nature. But it was at Pelican Lake where she felt most at peace. She cherished her summers at Velvet Beach, where she lovingly cared for the flowers she planted around her lot, taking pride in their beauty and the joy they brought to others. An avid shopper, she especially enjoyed picking out just the right blooms each season.
As President of the Velvet Beach Board of Directors, Sheryl was deeply committed to preserving the beauty and close-knit spirit of the lake community she held so dear. Her thoughtful nature, dedication, and love for the lake will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sheryl's legacy is one of strength, compassion, and enduring love. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
May her memory bring peace to those who mourn her passing and gratitude to those who were blessed by her life.
