Shirley Parker Westbrook age 77 was called by our LORD and SAVIOR, Friday October 10, 2025 at her home in Hawthorne, CA. Shirley was the first born to the late Clinton Ellis Parker, Sr and Ethel Mae Ruffin in New Orleans, Louisiana. Shirley was educated in the New Orleans Public School system where she graduated from high school and completed some college courses.
At the age of 12 Shirley was baptized at Second Free Mission Baptist Church where she attended church with her mother and other siblings. Shirley grew in her faith and occasional attended the Catholic Church with her father and later converted to the Catholic faith. She relocated to California and worked in the administrative business field as she continued the Catholic faith. Shirley was a long time member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church then St. Bridget
Catholic church until her untimely death.
Shirley was very intelligent and became highly skilled in office administrative multitasking. It was her intelligence and exceptional multitasking skills that excelled her from administrative assistant to Executive secretary at the Miller Health Care system where she retired. Shirely was a devoted member in a senior center travel club and other related clubs. She utilized those exceptional multitasking skills to help the clubs stay organized and run smoothly.... Shirley was the family historian in that she could recall in great detail a family member's name, their character, actions and other tidbits about them. Sadly, we lost an irreplaceable family historian. Shirley was a lover of storytelling, shopping, songs by Sade, Dionne Warwick, the Temptations and many others and her favorite color was yellow. Shirley had a deep sense of compassion and a bright sense of humor. Those qualities shaped her life as well as those she
met.
