Stephen Kenneth Hull, 63, passed away on October 24, 2025 in Meriden, Connecticut, the city where he was born and spent his life.
Born on April 18, 1962, in Meriden, Stephen was a graduate of Oriville H. Platt High School. Throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to his hometown and the communities that shaped him.
Stephen was known for his kind and generous spirit. Always ready to lend a and or offer support, he exemplified the true meaning of friendship. His warmth and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.
One of Stephen’s greatest joys came from supporting his nephew Jonathan Hull at the Silver City Quarter Midget Track in Meriden. Fondly known as “Uncle Steve” at the track, he was honored to be a lifetime member and became an enthusiastic and active part of the racing community a role he cherished deeply.
Stephen also had a lifelong passion for classic muscle cars. As a proud member of the American Muscle Car Club, he was a familiar face at car meets and events. He took particular pride in owing a blue 1971 Chevy Chevelle SS and a 1969 Chevy C10 pickup – vehicles that reflected his love for automotive craftsmanship.
In addition to his automotive interests, Stephen was an avid fan of science fiction. He especially enjoyed immersing himself in the iconic series Star Trek and AMC’s The walking Dead, finding joy in their imaginative storytelling and enduring characters.
Stephen is survived by his mother Lorraine Hull; sisters Karen Shaw and her husband Perry, Gayle Gann and her husband Kevin, Valerie Hull and brother C.J. Hull. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews who will remember him with affection.
He was predeceased by his father Frederick S. Hull, brother Frederick M. Hull and sister Priscilla Luoma.
Stephen’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him – from family members to fellow car enthusiasts to friends at the racetrack. His legacy lives on through the memories shared by those whose lives he touched with kindness, loyalty and uwavering support.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. Calling hours will take place on Wednesday November 12, 2025 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 PM and a reception at 6:00 PM at New Life Church 350 High Hill Rd Wallingford, CT. A Memorial Service will be held on November 12, 2025, at 05:00 PM at New Life Church 350 High Hill Rd
