March 20, 1948 – November 12, 2025

Stephen “Steve” Marc Watson, born in Seattle, Washington, was the son of Army nurse Sara “Sally” B. Thompson and Army Air Corps fighter pilot John “Jack” Walter Watson, both proud veterans of World War II. At 18, Steve volunteered for the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict, serving with C Battery, 7/11 Artillery, 25th Infantry Division. During the Tet Offensive, he saved the lives of friends and was wounded in the fighting.

Steve was a Little League coach, a dedicated father, a loving son and brother, and a loyal friend. He shared 52 years of marriage with his wife, Kathleen Sanfilippo. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, sharp sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his family.

He is survived by his sons Marc, Andrew, and Nathan; daughters-in-law Kaitlin and Joy; brothers John and Matthew; and his twelve grandchildren—Derek, Ava, Dominic, Kai, Talia, Noah, Jaxon, Rosalie, Laurel, Elijah, Jack, and Jonah. His greatest pride was his boys’ continued service to their communities in the military and law enforcement, and the joy brought to him by his grandchildren.
