Steven John Peasley, known affectionately as Steve, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 61, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on May 1964, in Racine, Wisconsin, to parents Mary and Louis Peasley.

Steve was a kind-hearted and playful soul who deeply loved his family and friends. He was an influential mentor and teacher to dozens of youth bowlers, sharing his passion and wisdom generously. Steve's career was marked by his entrepreneurial spirit as the owner and operator of Freedom Builders in Necedah, WI, and The Hooterbowl in Hustler Wisconsin. His work not only showcased his dedication but also his desire to create and manage spaces that brought people together. In recent years Steve enjoyed traveling and Cruising to Belize, Honduras, Cozumel and various ports in Alaska with the love of his life of 40 plus years Sue. "His legacy, however, is most profoundly felt in the countless lives of the young people he mentored and employed at the Hooterbowl. He was renowned for his extraordinary patience and respect, always taking the time to explain things, often more than once, with tact and kindness. He played a significant role in the lives of all the kids he coached and employed. His guidance, wisdom and strong work ethic being passed along to the countless individuals that passed through the Hooterbowl.

Beyond his professional life, Steve was an avid participant in bowling, golf, and poker tournaments, pursuits that reflected his competitive spirit and love for games of skill and strategy. Chair person for the Architecture committee for Artesia Community in Pahrump Nevada.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Thome) Peasley, Ashley (Jacob) and Amelia Simpson; brothers Jim (Connie) Peasley, Lou (Cindy) Peasley; sisters Kathi (Hal) Rasmussen, Karen Neal, Linda (Jeff) Vavrin, Sue (Ray) Pruitt, and Julie Bloomer; sister-in-law Kristine (Tracy Weber) Thome, and Debbie Peasley. Further survived by many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Louis Peasley; in-laws Don and Arlene Thome; and brothers David, Richard, and Joseph Peasley.

A celebration of Steve's life will be announced at a later date. His legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he touched with his warmth, mentorship, and community involvement.
