Steven Carl Szyjewski

Steven Carl Szyjewski, age 75, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, in Madison, WI surrounded by family.
Steven was born on June 16, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois to Chester and Janet (Tabor) Szyjewski. He graduated Holy Cross High School in 1968 and attended St. Norbert College for a time before entering into a thirty year career as an over-the-road truck driver. He was a fountain of wisdom and humor, which he gained through his travels and love of movies, music, books and radio programs. He is survived by his dear brother Carl Szyjewski, former wife Kathleen (Addie) Szyjewski, their five children Steven S Szyjewski (Jessica), Stanley C Szyjewski (Elaina), Daniel C Szyjewski (Alexis), Ashley A Vining (Joshua), Kaylea G Vandiver (Douglas) and ten wonderful grandchildren Ally, Henry, Madelyn, Catherine, Leah, Amelia, George, Hailee, Caroline and Jack. With each of them he shared a special relationship. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Chester and Janet and his dear brother John Szyjewski Sr.
There is so much that could be said about this man who meant so much to so many. May his memory be for a blessing.
As per his request, a private memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
