Sue Carol Vess

Sue Carol Vess, aged 87, passed away on October 4, 2025, in Holly, MI. Born on April 16, 1938, in the same town, she was the cherished daughter of Roy and Mabel Chamberlain. Sue graduated from Holly High School in the class of 1956 and went on to lead a life marked by devotion to her family and community.
On April 3, 1963, Sue married Fredrick Vess in a beautiful ceremony at a family home in Clarkston, MI. Their union was blessed with over sixty years of shared love and experiences until Fred's passing. Together, they raised two children, Scott Vess of Davisburg, MI, and Sandy (Chris) Palazzolo of Fenton, MI. Sue was a loving grandmother to Timothy and Thomas Palazzolo and also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, her parents, and her siblings: Fred, Betty, Barb, and Don.
Sue thrived in her roles as a wife and mother, always ensuring her family felt loved and supported. Her hobbies included bowling and visiting casinos, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, cherishing every moment together.
In following Sue's wishes, cremation has taken place. Her burial will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI, where she will be laid to rest. Her life and memory will be cherished by all who knew her, as a testament to her loving nature and the deep bonds she created with those around her.
