Susan Wood passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, in Barrington, Illinois, at the age of 81.

Susan was the beloved wife of Wayne, who preceded her in death. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Scott and Rob; her daughter-in-law, Debi; and her cherished grandchildren, Violet, Zac, and Sydney. She also leaves behind her siblings—Rick, Barb, and Diane—who shared in the joys and challenges of life with her.
A woman of quiet strength and enduring kindness, Susan found joy in the companionship of animals throughout her life. Her affection for them was a defining part of who she was and brought comfort to those around her.
