Terrence "Terry" Michael Ehlers, 52, of Norwalk, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.
Terry was born on September 28, 1973 to Kathleen and Arthur Ehlers and was raised in Norwalk, CT. Terry was an all-around athlete, and was passionate about sports from a young age. Terry played football and baseball for Brien McMahon High School and then went on to pitch at the University of Bridgeport. From a young age, Terry also discovered a talent for craftsmanship, beginning as a carpenter's apprentice and later building a successful career as a skilled carpenter.
In 2003, he married his beloved wife, Brinley Ford. They raised twin daughters in Norwalk, CT. A devoted husband and father, Terry's greatest joy was spending time with his family. Though he often called himself a homebody, he never turned down a family adventure. Terry had a great sense of humor, and anyone who met him would tell you that he was the funniest guy in the room.
Terry is survived by his wife, Brinley, and their two daughters, Lucy and Kathleen. He is also survived by his father, Arthur, and his sister, Heidi, as well as her husband Dan and their children, Kendall, Cassidy, Connor and Madison.
A private burial will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was especially meaningful to him.
