Terry Wayne Wallden

Terry Wayne Wallden passed away surrounded by love on October 17, 2025. Born in Chilliwack on November 14, 1946, he left Chilliwack in 1965 to follow his heart to Vancouver spending 61 years (56 years married) with his best friend, Kathleen. After 45 years in Vancouver, Coquitlam and Port Moody, he returned to his hometown in 2010, living on the same street where his story began. In 1967, he began working as an estimator for Benton & Overbury Ltd where he eventually became president and co-owner until his retirement at age 57. Terry would tell you he had a full and blessed life with so many highlights: working at B&O and spending time with Claude, Graham and Greg Overbury plus all the crew; many years as part of the Westwood Karting Association when Doug was go kart racing; so many trips to Disneyland with the ultimate 70th birthday trip to Disney and the NHRA drag races with Marie and her family; hosting family and friends at their cabin in Sunshine Valley; travelling the world with Kathleen, their siblings and friends in retirement and his friendships made through the Roadmen Car Club. Dad really, really loved every type of motorized racing and throughout the years you would find him at rod runs up and down the West Coast, the Indy Races (RIP) in Vancouver, the Langley Loafers Old Time Drags with his brothers and the Ashcroft drag races. One of his favourite roles in life was Granda to Matthew and the time they spent together were some of his most cherished; he was so proud to see Matthew become a father to Weston and his namesake, Hudson Terry. We are so thankful to Miny and all the staff at Eden Care Centre for treating Dad with compassion and dignity over the last 10 months and are forever grateful that Mum and Dad were able to spend the last six months living together.
