Thomas W. Sims

Thomas W. Sims, 80, passed away surrounded by his family Saturday afternoon October 4, 2025.

Thomas was born December 2, 1944 in Dallas, TX where he lived for many years. Thomas then moved to Michigan where he spent the last 36 years with his daughters. Over the years, Thomas faced many struggles yet he defied the odds at every turn with his stubborn tenacity and his will to live. He will be remembered for his incredible generosity and desire to care for others, his love of movies and his infectious laugh, and the deep love he had for his family and for his lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; William Allen Sims and Emma Lorene Sims, brother Don Sims, and sisters; Patsy West and Frances Stirewalt.

He is survived by his sons; Thomas (Lizet) Sims and Donald (Nancy) Sims, his daughters; Janie (Jerry) Nalongsakda and Sydney (Aaron) Hauser, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother and sister; Allen Sims and Linda Jo Campbell, and dear, close friend; Kimberly Strosnider.
