TINA YAZZIE

Tina Naomi Yazzie, born on June 27, 1968, in Gallup, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, in San Diego, California. She was 57 years old.

Tina's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with creativity, compassion, and deep love for all the fur babies in her life. She found joy in the art world—immersing herself in framing, film, music, and anything to express her love of her fur babies. Her artistic spirit created a beautiful tapestry that was seen and felt by all who surrounded her.

A woman of faith and warmth, Tina cherished her time at church functions with friends. Her spiritual life was a source of strength and community, where she shared her love for the Lord with those around her. She lived by a heartfelt vow: to live fully, laugh often, love deeply, and be kind to all—a philosophy that touched everyone who knew her.

Tina is lovingly remembered by her life partner Wendy and kin Arianna; her brothers Rodney and Michael; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; many lifelong friends; and her cherished fur babies... specifically, "Poncho Lopez". Her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to share in her journey.

She now joins in rest with her mother Judith S. Yazzie (Brown), father Harry D. Yazzie, brothers Owen and Cody Yazzie, maternal grandparents (Western Shoshone-Paiute) Steve & Hazel Brown (Jackson), and paternal grandparents (Dine') Donald Yazzie & Mary P. Wilson.

A celebration of life will be held at University Christain Church at a later date.
