Troy R. Schindo, 32, passed away on July 19, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, following a brief illness. Born on July 8, 1993, in South Burlington, Vermont, Troy brought light and laughter into the lives of those who knew him.
He earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont in 2017, pursuing his passion for helping others with dedication and compassion. His commitment to his profession reflected both academic excellence and a heartfelt desire to improve the lives of those he served.
Troy is lovingly remembered by his parents, Barbara and Gary; his sister Kylee and brother in-law Derek Beauchemin; and their sons Teddy and Tanner. His loyal dog Zeus held a special place in his heart and was a constant companion.
He also leaves behind his Aunt Sherry Crucitti; Uncle Bob Crucitti; Uncle David and Aunt Kathy Crucitti; cousins Eric and Kaitlyn Crucitti and Tom Crucitti; as well as their children Samantha and Amelia. He is also remembered by his step-grandmother Phyllis Dubie Schindo.
Troy was predeceased by his grandparents Barbara (Anderson) and Frank Schindo, and Joan (Reynolds) and Robert Crucitti.
A devoted basketball fan—especially of the Philadelphia 76ers—Troy found great joy in both playing the game and watching it with family. These shared moments became treasured memories for those closest to him.
Troy's family takes deep pride in all he accomplished during his life. His legacy is one of kindness, intelligence, humor, and unwavering love for those around him.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Troy's dear Tampa friends Sheldon Fulse, his wife Naomi, and their family for their support and friendship.
A private family burial will be held at a future date. May Troy's memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
