Vera Pearl Dyer (née Green), affectionately known as Pearl, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in Millington, Tennessee. She was 92 years old.
Born on October 8, 1933, in Drumright, Oklahoma, Pearl lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and friendship. Her journey took her from the plains of Oklahoma to many corners of the country and beyond, always with a spirit of adventure and a heart full of love.
Pearl shared 75 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband Jim, who preceded her in death. Together they built a life centered around their family and shared passions. They were longtime members of El Camino Grace Church in El Cajon, California, where their faith was nurtured and their community enriched by their presence.
After raising her children, Pearl embarked on a new chapter alongside her sister Jo. The two completed training to become electronic assemblers and worked together at Serr Vendors—a testament to Pearl’s determination and close family bonds.
Pearl had an enduring love for travel. She delighted in visiting family across the country and enjoyed numerous cruises with loved ones. Camping was another cherished pastime; she and Jim spent many summers in Klamath, California, where they made lasting friendships and enjoyed salmon fishing. Their involvement with the Good Sam’s camping group, The Coastal Roadrunners, brought them joy and camaraderie for many years.
Pearl’s legacy lives on through her three children, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her daughter Sandi, and her grandson Jeremy.
Her warmth and adventurous spirit touched all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and inspiration to those who carry forward the values she held dear.
