Veronica Taylor Dunning

Veronica Denise Taylor Dunning was born in Gary, IN on August 9,1954, to the late Timothy and Dorothy Taylor. Veronica passed away on October 11,2025. She graduated from Lew Wallace High School in 1972. Veronica was a lifelong member of VAN BUREN MB CHURCH. Veronica worked as the Church Secretary at Van Buren for 40 years and with the Marriott Hotel in Chicago on the Magnificent Mile for 35 years. She was a TRUE WOMAN OF GOD, A MOTHER OF 4 BOYS, A FRIEND TO MANY AND AN ADVISOR WHEN ASKED, LOVING GRANDMOTHER, AND A GREAT COOK. Preceded in death by her Parents, Brother Lendrew D. Taylor, and Her Husband Eco Dunning. She is survived by her sons: Ben Berry (Isa), Jermal Dunning, Darius Dunning (Kahlia), and Dominic Dunning: Brother Timothy G. Taylor, Sisters: Margene Parker and Cecelia Anderson; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and loved ones. Visitation Friday, October 17, 2025, from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m., with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. all services at Van Buren Missionary Baptist Church 2585 Van Buren St. Gary, IN. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
