Virginia Heitzman of Tyler, Texas passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at age 102. Virginia was born June 12, 1923 in Gainesville, Texas to the late Tillman and Veola Hedges of Duncan, Oklahoma. She attended Duncan High School and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma. She married Richard F. "Dick" Heitzman of Gainesville, Florida in 1946.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Dick.

She is survived by son Tom Heitzman of Tyler TX; daughters Claire Wilda (Doug) of Austin TX, Beth Bisett (Frank Sergeant) of San Marcos TX, and Jan Ryan (Charlie) of Austin TX; grandsons James Bisett (Gina) of Dripping Springs TX and Dan Bisett (Josie) of Wimberley TX; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held
