Walter Marvin "Moe" Crogan, 74, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on October 24, 2025.
Born on Independence Day 1951, in Keyser, WV. Walter lived a life defined by service, loyalty, and a deep love for his friends and family.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather (Paw-Paw) and great-grandfather. Walt leaves behind his beloved wife Georgia Crogan "Vern" with whom he shared 40 cherished years. His eldest daughter Shalua (Daymon) Hudson, sons Shawn (Shanna) and Stephen (Nannette) Crogan. LaDonna (Jose) Olivo, Belinda Harris, Melissa Shoumake, and Jonathan (Amy) Winfree.
His legacy continues through is grandchildren Hayley (Ian), Mason (Alexis), Shawn Jr., Kaitlyn, Tyler, Addison, Sam, Kelli, especially with his "Boobers" Jacob and with his great-grandchildren "Little boobers" Liam, Layla, Rayna, and Charlotte, . Walter will be fondly remembered and missed by a host of sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and his faithful companion Sophie.

Walter proudly served his country for 24 years as a Senior Chief, Operations Specialist in the United States Navy, seeing combat in both the Vietnam and Gulf Wars. His dedication, courage, and sense of duty left a lasting impression on all that knew him.
An avid sports fan, Walter's passions extended beyond the military. He cheered wholeheartedly for the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Capitals, and his beloved West Virginia Mountaineers, sharing his love of sports with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Crogan Sr. and Mary Lea Patterson-Boyce. His sister Sandy Fritz and brothers Thomas and Howard Crogan, who now welcome him to eternal rest.
Walter was a simple man with a simple wish: a celebration of life over ceremony. The family will honor his memory on Sunday, November 2nd, at 6p.m. at Jamaica Inn-the very place where his love story with Georgia began.

In his quiet strength, warm humor, and unwavering devotion, Walter touched countless lives. He leaves behind a family bound together by his love, laughter and example-a true hero both at home and in service.
