1937 - 2025

Send Flowers Plant A Tree
Educator and lover of reading, gardening, art, and music, Wanda Williamson died peacefully at her home in Magnolia, Texas, surrounded by family on Oct. 3, 2025. She was 88.

Williamson graduated from Liberty High School in 1955, attended Baylor University and, in 1957, married her high school sweetheart, Bernard Williamson. Together they raised four children. She earned her degree in education from North Texas State University and went on to teach hundreds of children to love reading.

An advocate for living joyfully and laughing hard — she swore it made a person live longer — Wanda was beloved by her children and grandchildren. Her playfulness, strength, and immediate warmth made her presence a blessing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Bernard Williamson; their children, Joan Williamson (Richard Lanet), Casey Williamson (Brandt Peterson), Mark Williamson, and Kelly Williamson (Shelli); their grandchildren, Kathryn Houston (Russell), Ruby Lanet, Cole Williamson, and Eli Lanet; and great-grandchildren, Corbin and Cal Houston.
