Warren Douglas Briggs

Warren Douglas Briggs, aged 76, of Milford, CT, passed away on September 29, 2025. He will be missed by all that were lucky enough to know him.

Born on November 24, 1948 in Hartford, CT, Warren was known for his witty, humorous, and competitive nature, and his caring and loving demeanor as a son, father, brother, and husband. As a passionate Boston Red Sox fan, Warren's enthusiasm for the team was only rivaled by his love for animals, particularly cats. He was hardworking, he loved a good game of whiffle ball, and he loved to play the drums. He attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and graduated with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and worked in the industry for many years.

Warren is survived by his wife, Catherine Slocum Briggs; his daughter, Amy Briggs; step-daughter, Amy Calderon; step-son, Robert Slocum; sisters, Diane Briggs and Susan Briggs; along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine (Kay) Briggs and Arthur Briggs.

The family will gather to share memories and honor Warren's life privately. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to your local animal shelter or better yet, adopting a cat, continuing Warren's legacy of caring and support for his favorite animal.
