Wendell Lee Lippert

Wendell Lippert, 69, of Columbia City, IN passed away Friday, September 5,2025. Born September 24, 1955 , he was the son of the late Scott and June (Thomas) Lippert.
Wendell graduated from Augusta High school in 1973. He worked at AGPlus in Grain Operations. Wendell also spent many years in the swimming pool industry and was a certified HVAC Technician.
Wendell grew up on a dairy farm in KY and loved everything about living and working in a rural community. He was happiest working outside where he used his talents to build or fix whatever needed his attention. Wendell was a man of few words but a very generous and caring heart. He showed his love for his family and friends by finding ways to care for their needs. Wendell adopted every stray animal that wandered by and was adored by the whole menagerie.
Wendell is survived by his wife Susan Tomlinson Lippert and siblings Scotty & Cheryl Lippert, Paula Perkins, Dixie Stull, Alan & Barbara Lippert. He also leaves behind 14 nieces and nephews, 23 great, and 10 great-great nieces and nephews. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Jackie Perkins, and nephew Robert Perkins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 25, 2025 at the Augusta Baptist Church, 300 E 4th Street, Augusta, KY. Visitation will be from 10-12:00, followed by a Celebration of Life and luncheon.
