Wes Wynne, 72, passed away at home on October 30, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on December 1, 1952, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Wes lived with purpose, passion, and a deep love for his family and friends.

Wes is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Lee; daughters Heather Elizabeth Toops and Ashlea Christine Wayne; son-in-law Jason Wayne; and beloved grandchildren Sofia Elizabeth, Norah LeeAnn, and Jordan Martin, brother Paul Tannahill Wynne, sister in laws Janet Wynne and Dee Benton. He was preceded in death by his father Don Wesley Wynne and mother Ida Frances Tannahill Wynne.

A proud graduate of Texas Wesleyan College in May of 1975, Wes built a successful career as a chemist at Alcon Laboratory. His professional life was marked by dedication and excellence in his field. Yet beyond the lab coat and formulas, Wes found his greatest joy outdoors and among those he loved.

Wes’s heart belonged to the Tannahill Ranch—a place that held generations of memories and where he poured countless hours of hard work and care. It was more than land to him; it was legacy. An avid hunter with an adventurous spirit, Wes traveled to Africa twice in pursuit of the sport he loved. These journeys were just a few among many wonderful adventures that colored his life.

He was a man who valued connection deeply. Wes leaves behind not only family but also many cherished friends whose lives were enriched by his presence. His warmth, humor, and unwavering support created lasting bonds that will endure long after his passing.

Wes and Lee were longtime members of University Christian Church in Fort Worth, Texas—a spiritual home that reflected their shared values and commitment to community.

Wes will be missed by so many. He leaves behind a legacy of love, fun, treasured memories, and an enduring devotion to family. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
