Wesley Robert John, 84, of Stanton, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025. Born on August 14, 1941, in Farwell, Michigan, Wesley lived a full and meaningful life defined by work ethic, kindness, warmth, and quiet generosity.

A devoted husband to his beloved wife, Carole (Sutherland) John, Wesley was known by all who met him as a friendly and caring soul who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His humor and wit always added laughter to any room, and his easy smile and gentle nature made him a cherished presence within his community and among his friends and neighbors.

Wesley found joy and purpose in working with his hands. He had a deep passion for home improvement projects and took great pride in crafting walking sticks and canes—each one made with patience and artistry. His lifelong hobby of tool collecting reflected not only his appreciation for craftsmanship but also his resourceful and curious spirit.

Though he never sought recognition or accolades, Wesley's life was a quiet testament to kindness and dedication. He will be remembered for the simple wisdom he shared freely and the generous heart that guided his every action.

Wesley is survived by his wife, Carole; his sister, Jeanette (John) Hattis; his son, Craig Avery and Craig's wife Angela Avery; his daughter, Armanda (John) Clous and her husband Nathan Clous; step-daughter Tina (Sprank) Hengesbach and her husband Douglas Hengesbach; step-son Peter Sprank and his wife Susan Sprank. He also leaves behind countless more stepchildren, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.

Arrangements for a celebration of life will be made in his memory at a later date. Those wishing to honor Wesley are encouraged to do so by performing an act of kindness in his name. In lieu of flowers for the family, please bless the nurses, staff, and patients of Corewell Health Hospital, fourth floor south wing, in his name.

May Wesley's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of compassion in the world he leaves behind.
