William "Bill" Richard Jenkins, 76, of Midlothian, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 3, 1949, in Sidney, New York, to Richard and Elizabeth Jenkins, Bill grew up with a deep appreciation for family, friendship, and hard work. After proudly serving his country in Vietnam, he returned home and, in 1976, moved with his family to Richmond, Virginia, where he built a life filled with love and lasting memories.
Bill had a lifelong love of stock car racing and enjoyed watching football, fishing, and spending time with family. He especially treasured visiting with friends and neighbors on the back deck, where many laughs and stories were shared.
He and Judy enjoyed many trips together, including a memorable journey to Europe—visiting Kevin's family in Germany and exploring Paris and Normandy. Bill held a deep appreciation for the historical significance of D-Day, often reflecting on the courage and sacrifice of those who came before him. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family near and far, who were his greatest source of pride and joy.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Judy; his children, Lisa (Joel), Robert (Joanna), Mark (Kelly), and Kevin (Elizabeth); eleven grandchildren—Nathan, John, Lauren, Karis, Julia, Jenna, Jordan, Isaac, Ethan, Alice, and Maggie; and two great-grandchildren- Adaline and Titus. He is also survived by his brother, Gordy (Diana), and his sister-in-law, Thelma, wife of his late brother Dan.
