William Thomas Hamrick, Sr. was born May 22, 1944, in Chattanooga, TN and passed at home on October 16, 2025. Tommy, whose first love was his family, was an electrical and building contractor in Central Florida. He loved working with and solving complex issues on large projects.
He was an avid historian with an impeccable memory of details and a sincere American patriot. His love for America was always a topic he was happy to discuss. He also proudly served in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Lake Champlain.
Tommy moved to Florida from Chattanooga, TN and pursued opening his electrical contracting company. Some of his major accomplishments were the work he completed on the Big Bend Power Plant, Peabody Hotel and many of the Universal Studio's projects. He also designed portable telecommunications buildings for cell towers and other industrial uses.
Tommy is survived by his wife Caroline, and children; William "Tommy" Hamrick, II, (Marcy), Cynthia "Nikki" Lingenfelter (Dan). Grandchildren, Samantha "Sam" Secrest, William "Tommy" Hamrick III, Ian A. Hamrick, Molly C. Hamrick, Stormi I. Lingenfelter, who he loved more than life.
He will be welcomed in heaven by his parents William Curtis & Daisy Pauline Hamrick and his daughter Kimberly Y. Wilson.
