William Wright Jr

After a long and valiant battle with cancer, William Wright Jr of Sacramento CA entered into eternal rest on October 14, 2025 at the age of 89.
He was born, August 15th 1936 in Detroit MI to Thelma and Willie Wright (deceased). He attended HS and enter the US Army at the age of 17. He was assigned to the 82nd Airborne as a private 1st class and served as a paratrooper who completed over 20 certified jumps. After military service he moved to California where he married Doris;(deceased) from which came, William III, Eric (deceased)and Cassandra (deceased). He worked in a number of vocations and retired from the US DOD as an electronic communications technician. He retired in 1996 and later moved to Sacramento in 2003 with his longtime life partner Alice. They remained each other’s constant support and companionship for 35 years. Together in sickness and health, through happiness and love and finally through the last and final steps, always together.
Ben leaves an extended loving family who will always treasure and miss him and friends who will always remember his humor, wisdom, wit and warmth of personality.
In remembrance; Ben, never will a day pass that I will not remember you and the time we spent together. Thank you for sharing your life with me. You now belong to the ages and the ancestors.
