Zbyslaw Ogorek, age 80, of Braintree, died peacefully Monday, November 10, 2025 at home.

Zbyslaw was born in Rawa Mazowiecka, Poland, to the late Jozef and Teodora (Marek) Ogorek. Raised and educated there, he was a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology in Poland.

He immigrated to the United States in 1970 at the age of twenty-five, settling in Boston. He lived in Braintree for the past forty-seven-years.

He was employed as a machinist for SchureMed, a medical equipment manufacturer in Abington, for over ten years.

Zbyslaw was a man of faith and was a member of the former Saint Thomas More Church in Braintree for many years and currently is a member of Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth.

He was devoted to his family.

Beloved husband for fifty-four years of Daria (Hanula) Ogorek.

Devoted father of Robert Ogorek and his wife Erin of Weymouth, Christina Ogorek and her husband Michael Rollo of Staten Island, N.Y., and her twin brother, John Ogorek of Weymouth.

Loving grandfather of Brook and Jack Ogorek, Christopher and Nicholas Rollo.

Dear brother of Stanislaw Ogorek of Poland

Zbyslaw is also survived by one niece and one nephew.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Sunday, November 16, from 2 – 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Sacred Heart Church, 72 Washington Street, Weymouth, on Monday, November 17, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 990 LaGrange Street, West Roxbury.
